Last Sunday was dark moon, according to Balinese calendar it is a good time to pray and purify our mind body and soul with water. Dark moon is believed by Balinese when God of the Surya or Sun is meditating. My family and i went to Dasar Temple in Bangli. Bangli district i think is the origin of Bali.
As i read this is one of the place where the old tradition of Bali have existed before Majapahit kingdom conquered Bali in 1343 and spread its influence here. I have been coming here a few times.
Ida Pandita the priest of this temple said this is the origin of the temple in Bali. I purified my body and soul in the fountain and the spring water by the river here. This temple seems peaceful and serene. I am glad i came here with my family
